Down at the Docklands week 2!

No more sunbathing this time; today we really did learn to sail! James – our instructor – drove his motor boat in a large figure of eight across the docks and the children had to follow him in their sailing boats. They really mastered this by the end of the session. Well done Year 6!

This week was really fun because we learnt how to sail properly and we had to follow the instructor in a line! It was amazing!

We had a fantastic journey to the sailing centre. Also it was fun trying to sail while it was raining.

It was very fun; in the first week it was quite scary but now that I have gotten used it I find it pretty easy.

This time we were doing a figure of 8! We had to swap sides on the boat when we turn the opposite side!

At sailing I really enjoyed putting the Rudder Blade, Dagger board and sail on the boat. I also enjoyed steering the boat but if u wanted to go right you had to turn the rudder left. If u wanted to go left you would had to turn it right.
